How to butcher character development, brought to you by Egg-Mun.
Since this has been brought to my attention multiple times before, and it’s a ridiculous problem amongst the RP community, I’d like to point something out.
When a character is having a problem, don’t Magic Anon it away. Why?
- It ruins the point in overcoming the problem and bettering yourself from your experiences.
- It could destroy potential plans put in place by Muns - Do you all honestly believe that when Sonic is losing in a fight, we didn’t pre-plan it all?
- Problems don’t magically disappear because some gray creature wills it to. Life doesn’t work like that, and it takes away the fun and/or point of what you’re trying to achieve. Sometimes a message best conveyed is one shown through friends and one’s own power of will.
- It’s obnoxious. You have no idea how annoying it is when both sides have Magic anons doing what essentially equates to secondhand god-modding.
And another thing. When someone loses in an RP fight, don’t complain like a bitch about it. 3/4 of the time, these bigger plots are all planned out far ahead of time. If you don’t agree with the loss, then I’m sorry, but it’s not your RP nor your blog. I’ve always expressed people have a right to play a character how they choose because it’s THEIR blog. Don’t like it? Don’t RP with them. Hell, block them even. Just don’t whine like a spoiled brat.
If this offends someone, I’m sorry for that, but it’s been a problem that’s been bothering a fair few people and with good reason.
